Skipper Wes Nichols (77* & 3/38) gets into form at the right time of the season

WINDSOR 6/197
Nichols 77*

Defeated

EVERSLEY
Vandermerwe 4/23

Windsor managed to jag a final win prior to the season starting, against Eversley on the weekend. Upon losing the toss, Eversley set about setting a target, but only Saville (55), could get over the top of the Windsor bowlers. Vandemerwe (4/23) and Nichols (3/35) bowled well as Harris (2/55) chipped in to cap off a reasonable performance.

The chase started well, with Vandenberg (28) and Birch (30) putting on 50 for the 1st wicket. But then wickets fell regularly until Nichols (77*) teamed up with fellow bowling partner Vandermerwe (22) for the 5th wicket partner ship of 52, to secure the match.

Windsor need to be patient both with the bat and in the field to reach their full potential in 2010. Wins will not simply come in Division 1 like the previous season in Division 2, so they have to ready graft a bit more, in order to gain favourable results.
