NPL Teddington 4th XI vs Windsor 4th XI – Saturday 19th June

NPL Teddington 278 for 8 T.Radley-Brown 83, N.Harris 75, C.Light 5-74

Windsor 188 all out Hittin 46, S.Martin 34, T.Sullivan 6-41

Windsor’s promotion bid faltered on Saturday as they went down by 90 runs away at NPL Teddington. 75 by Teddington skipper Harris and a rapid 83 by Radley-Brown helped Teddington put a daunting 278 on the board for the loss of 8 wickets. Windsor captain Charles Light was the pick of the bowlers picking up his first five wicket haul (5-74 off 19 overs). It could certainly have been a different story had catches been held, Harris was put down three times, including a dolly when only on 2!

Windsor set about the run chase at a canter, Martin and Hittan put on 74 for the first wicket going at over 6 an over. The required ran rate was met all the way through, but despite starts by all of the top order including Houghton 33 and Holmes 24, Windsor simply run out of wickets and they were bowled out for 188. A disappointing total having been 185 for 5 and thus losing their last five wickets for just three runs. Sullivan was the pick of the Teddington bowlers taking an impressive haul of 6-41.
