Windsor crashed to their first defeat of the season against a well organised and patient Bracknell attack on a damp cold day at the Home Park. Losing the toss Windsor were inserted on in a reduced over game of 90 overs. The threat of rain was never far away and this seemed to play in the minds of the batsman as wickets fell regularly throughout the day with none really looking comfortable against the accurate Bracknell attack. Cameo innings from Brian Davis and Rob Dawson made the score look somewhat respectable but 155 was never really going to be enough especially after opening bowler Chris Edge sustained a injury that turned out later to be a broken toe and he was unable to take the field for the Bracknell Innings.

Seamer Warren Griffiths, taking over the captaincy made an excellent start by removing Hayes and although both Stuart Millman and Richard Endacott bowled valiantly and without luck once Kendrick and captain Kirby were set the dominated the attack at took the game away from Windsor to win comfortably in the gloom.

Windsor must now pick themselves up and record some form of victory away at High Wycombe next week to get their season back on track.
