Windsor Won by 55 runs

On Sunday Windsor took on Bracknell looking for an improved performance after losing out to Cranbourne the week before. After losing the toss Windsor were invited to bat first. However, they soon suffered the early blow of losing Captain Paul Huggins in the first over. Brian Davis and Rob Matthews steadied the innings before Davis fell for 17. At the other end though Matthews continued his good form passing fifty but soon fell to the bowling of Bray.

A number of the Windsor middle order got starts but were restricted by some tight bowling by Budd and Nadeem as wickets continued to fall at a steady rate. Cameo knocks by Noble and O’Shannesey pushed the score on as Windsor looked to declare, but both fell leaving the tail with some work to do. The Windsor innings came to a close on 183 all out after a mix up in the running involving Endacott and Hodgson.

The Bracknell openers got their innings off to a solid start before O’Shanessey bowled Nadeem for 20. Matty Walklett on his debut then removed Heyes playing on for 19. What followed was a fine spell by Walklett as he raced through the Bracknell middle order taking two wickets in two balls. Hood offered some resistance but also fell to Walklett who finished with superb figures of 6-37. At the other end fellow debutante Rob Hodgson produced a tidy spell taking 1-17. However, with the number overs remaining decreasing Griffiths was re-introduced to the attack and promptly removed the Bracknell tail holding on to two smart caught and bowled chances leaving Bracknell all out for 128 with four overs to spare.
